Honor plans an IPO three years after its split with Huawei

Honor, the leading Chinese smartphone vendor, plans to go public through an IPO to diversify its funding. No details about the transaction have been provided yet. The company will restructure its board to comply with regulations and embrace diversity. Wu Hui will replace Wan Biao as the new chairman. Honor's success can be attributed to its diverse handset portfolio, expansion of retail locations, and competitive pricing. It recently regained the top spot in China's smartphone market and partnered with HonorTech for the Indian market. Honor was sold by Huawei to a consortium to avoid US sanctions.
